In October of 2004, I broke ground on the most rewarding project of my life, the building of my own dream home in the country.  I had long dreamed of building such a place, and within 8 months my dream was a reality.  With no prior experience as a general contractor, and armed with nothing more than a dream and determination,  I completed the beautiful home you see below, on schedule and on budget.  I captured the experience in a 50,000 word narrative and a photographic journal of the process.  I also created many tools and templates to aid in the planning of the construction process.  Please feel free to use the material on this site to get ideas for your own construction project.  Please do not redistribute the content, as it is copyrighted material.
